The Yanshui Beehive Fireworks Festival is probably the only public festival in the world where thousands of people, bundled up in extra-thick clothing and full-face helmets, gather around barges filled with fireworks just to watch them shoot off in every possible, unpredictable direction. A once is a lifetime experience, and probably one of the most “dangerous” cultural festivals in Taiwan, this is a must-see experience for thrill seekers and folk culture fanatics.
